Your Life Depends on It
It's been too long since we last shared with you. So long to expect many of you to keep checking. But for those few, the chosen few, who play the long game, we wanted to share something special.
This is a working first draft of something big we are working on. We are calling it: The Quest(ions). It is based upon the fundamental truth that your life will be a lens magnifying the questions you ask it. Our late friend, Dan Miller, was known for asking the ultimate silver lining question, "What does this make possible?" He would counsel others to use this phrase any time a negative event happened. He even used it himself during a time most people would view as tragic (a terminal diagnosis) to spend his last days with those closest to him, encircled by those who loved him and whom he loved most. Rest in peace, Dan.
Think of these questions as the foundational checklist of your life's quest. They require a simple yes or no. Check them off in the current moment as you go, revisiting them as often as required. This is a living, breathing, idea(l); one that will change, as you do, over time. So expect the answers to change. Start from the beginning and work your way through them. Add or remove questions as you see fit. We leave the context of these questions for your own interpretation.
Am I healthy?
Am I safe?
Am I loved?
Am I respected?
Do I love and respect others?
Do I love and respect myself?
Do I want to learn?
Am I beautiful?
Am I surrounded by beauty?
Am I who I can be?
Am I infinite?
For every yes, there is cause to celebrate. For every no, a pause to contemplate. The quest, then, is to get to yes for all of the quest questions. And to keep saying yes, over and over again. How? Ah, yes, that is the right question. We will iterate on the particular questions and answers for the rest of our lives. We hope you join us.
Will you?
